Guest Bath

The owners of this glamorous bathroom bought two units in Midtown’s Willys Overland lofts to combine them into a three-bedroom family home. For this project, completed in 2019, a top priority was a spacious spa-inspired bathroom with a deep soaking tub. Detroit-based interior designer Anahi Hollis pulled out all the stops to create a stylish and serene environment. Details like the Mercer sconces by Thomas O’Brien for Visual Comfort and Art Deco-inspired mirror in antique burnished brass are showstoppers in the otherwise soothing 142-square foot haven, awash in gray tiles with a linen-like texture, cement and dark wood cabinets. Thick concrete floors drove the decision to elevate the wet room for the shower and tub on a tiled platform (note the sloped drain in the shower). Above the luxurious Aria Voce soaking tub by Fluerco, the Iveala Sconce for Visual Comfort in hand-rubbed antique brass with an alabaster shade provides the perfect glow while soaking.
