Leverette Children’s Bath, Corktown

Photography: Martin Vecchio Photography

Situated on the second floor of an 1893 Victorian, this colorful bathroom was designed for three kiddos, ranging in ages from six to 13. Playful enough to please children; elegant enough to grow into. The shower, which replaced an original clawfoot tub that required too much work to bring back to life, is tiled in glossy mint green tiles by Heath Ceramics with a matte green-gray on the shower floor. Simple, fun and easy to use, the shower and sink fixtures are Purist by Kohler. Above the generous wall-mount sink (big enough for several tooth-brushers at a time) hangs a vintage-style mirror, flanked by glossy blue ceramic lights by Commune Design. To the left of the sink, there’s plenty of space for an antique shelf, which accommodates toiletries and color-coded extra towels at kid height. White oak flooring balances beautifully with walls painted Studio Green by Farrow & Ball.
